The Myans were the first to come up with the concept of zero.

It's a contentious issue. One of the earliest forms of the zero goes back to pre-Mayan Olmec civilisation in the Americas. But Greek mathematician Ptolemy is largely credited with introducing the zero in AD 130, mostly because he was the first to use it on its own, rather than merely as a placeholder.

al khawarizmi.todays number(digit)is known as indiam-arab numbers because it is the mixture between arab and indian nunbers.however,al khawarizimi should have the credits beacause he travelled from baghdad to india only to learn numbers.then he arranged the numbers.without his efforts,we might not be able to add or minus/times/divide numbers.

then later rediscovered by mathematician al-Khwarizmi.
