There are currently two books (Eragon and Eldest) and a third will be coming out. However, I don't see how they can make a second movie. The first one was terrible and it BOMBED. Furthermore, they took out so many details/characters from the first book when they made the movie. These things were maybe not necessary for the movie, but they COMPLETELY change the story that's supposed to take place in the second book (and would take place if they made a second movie). If they make a second movie, it will bear little resemblance to Eldest.
