I had one today and I was so nervous, a word I said came out wrong which isn't even in the English dictionary! I felt an idiot and hope these little things don't put them off.

Hi yes I had a really bad inteview once, I hadnt had one in a while and I really didnt feel very nervous to start off with, but they gave me a maths test before I went in and my mind went blanck and I hardly answered any of the questions it took me like half an hour to do even before I got into the interview, I thought I deffiantly wont get the job now, my heart was pounding like mad. The I had to have the Interview as well which one question she asked me just went absolublty blank mutter some rubbish that wasnt even to do with the question then had a panick attack which i havent had in my life before and I felt like I was going to pass out. She told me to calm down and start again. and to top it all off as I was on the way out of the shop, I slipped in my boots and felt like a right dork. I cried like mad when I got out of the shop as I knew if wasnt like me to get that way. I did get the Job but I left because the manangers where horrible to be whilst I was there. They only told me I had the job because they was short staffed,

I went to an interview with a prestigious company. They left me waiting in reception for aaaages. After a while, I noticed my hands get really dry and since I happened to have some hand cream in my bag I got out the tube and squeezed some cream into my hand. Unfortunately the tube literally exploded. I tried furiously to rub the cream in but it just squelched everywhere. Of course the interiewer appeared at that moment and held out her hand for me to shake. I was so embarrassed! Of course I warned her because you can't just give someone a greasy hand to shake, but she shook it anyway.
A lift-ride later I was led into a room where I had to shake a whole load of other hands. Cringe!

It wasn't all bad, though, because I stuck in their minds and they offered me a better job than planned :-)

Moral of the story: Accidents and mistakes happen, but people remember you better for it.

don't take it too hard. i used to swear that everytime i opened my mouth around people i didn't know my tongue would just make up it's own words. as for your interview, I was being interviewed for the job i have now and the human resourses person talked to me and then told me when to start. She gave me some papers and walked me to her door. when i went to shake her hand as i was leaving, i had one of those unexpected farts. It was nervous gas but i thought sure she would be calling me back to tell me not to bother coming in.
