I liked the first part and was really into it when all of a sudden the girl drowns...what a let down. I'm with you about the ending, too!

I would give it 5 stars. The part were Leslie drowned was very sad, and I cried and so did my friends. But even though that part was sad, the ending was very happy too. I cried at the ending also because he and his sister shared a special memory. The movie over all was incredibly touching, and it does have a good lesson that you should value friendships. Actually I take that back, I give it a 6! ---Love, Anna

Sucks? I wouldn't say that at all. I thought it was very well done. The whole story (book and movie) is intended to address the issue of death in a way that children can understand and process. It does that very well, while getting across the idea that it helps you heal if you do something to memorialize the person who has died.

I liked it. I thought it was good because I thought the whole movie was going to be magical fairy land but it is actually realistic. And what do you mean they went across the bridge just like that? I loved that ending. And you shouldn't of saw it if you werent gonna like it.

Jesse is continuing the magic of Teribitha. She shared this wonderful place where you are only hindered by lack of imagination with him.
In the end by sharing it with his baby sister he is keeping a part of his free spirited friend Leslie alive.
