I support a lot of people and have a lot projects at work, most of them long-term w/ some short-turnaround tasks. I seem to have no trouble getting the quick tasks done, but never seem to find the time to focus on the long-term things. Then, when the long-term deadlines are looming a little too close, I assume an overly optimistic idea of what I can get done, get all stressed out, make mistakes, then miss the deadline anyway. I need to stop this cycle, but I don't know how. Thanks for any suggestions...

Do to list.

Get big white board. Break it into 2 sections in 2 rows

Rows
1)Section A is for long term projects
---sub rows: Break down of long term project into smallest task - On each smallest task, reassign deadline and use Ms Project to make a Gantt- Chart.

2) Section B is for short term projects
Has less task and little break down to do

From experiences, how many "task" can you do? Judge from your productivity and then allocate your work force to handle section A and B depending on Priority

Dont know what is a gantt chart? go to link (a)

Dont know how to use Ms Project. Then start with a white board and start from there. Manually do it. Try it. Dont forget to give me a nudge when you got it into your blood

Make time table with all the activities that you do and you have to do....shedule more time for the most important things that you have to finish first..and you should aleast take 1hr daily or what ever time u are comfortable for the long term projects. You can have reminders set on you computer or mobile or paste on your frigde as a to do list. This way you can have time alloted for the work you everyday..

We did comfortable with the adult males's Wearhouse. intense-high quality expert people, quite some places for groomsmen out of city and we've been given an extremely stable deal. there replaced into an advert in between the bridal magazines- it particularly is nicely worth going to the library and finding by them- and we've been given the hoop bearer/ groomsmen's tuxes for $50 each and each and the groom loose. a huge area of the decrease fee expenses replaced into that the fee secure each and all the "extras" like shoes that upload up so quickly on suitable of area leases.
