I've seen Peterson going to the Browns in every mock draft, they have Lewis and Droughns still....will they draft Peterson to add youth and his skill or will they go another way now?

I think Lewis has at least 3 more years in him and put him behind a revamped line and drafting Joe Thomas to anchor it . Imagine if Bentley does come back? Lewis will open up the passing lanes that way we can get the ball to Braylon, Kellen , and Jurevious .. Next year is going to be filled with RB's we've got Darren Mcfadden , Ray Rice, and Jon Hart just to name a few..

I say they still go with Peterson. If they pass on him, It'd be like the Texans passing on Reggie Bush all over again.

Sure they have Jamal Lewis now, but they only signed him to a one-year deal, which means that they're very sceptical about his playing ability because Lewis' stats have dropped drastically the last two years.

I say that they go ahead and draft Peterson, not only because the reasons I listed above, but also because they need youth at the RB position.

Yes Jamal Lewis is going to be the feature back of the Browns, but Romeo Crennel has said in more than one interview that they are not drafting a quarterback, the Browns coaching staff has said that they want to invest in the young quarterbacks that they have already on the roster. If the Browns do not draft a quarterback you can put them in the same category as the Detroit Lions, that's the one where the team drafts players in positions that they have no need for. Look for the Browns to draft a quarterback if not look for them to get a new front office after this season.

I think they could use that draft pick as trade bait. Although Lewis only signed a 1 year deal so Peterson for long term may be the smart thing to do.

All I can say that is RB depth in the draft is now looking good for Green Bay, picking 16th, there were only two teams in the running for drafting Peterson and Lynch, and those were the Browns(Jamal Lewis) and the Texans(Ahman Green).

Yeah they should. Lewis is not an upgrade at the RB position by any means, he is a shadow of the player he once was. The Browns oline has never been that good and for Jamal to be effect the oline has to play great and you have to keep a fullback in front of him because he cant make things happen on his own any more. And from what I saw from Droughns last year maybe he isnt the answer either.

Its only a 1 year deal and he is getting old so they are going to need a number 1 guy again next year...but now they can hold off and draft another position first but still need a back for the future

Yes, they only signed lewis to a 1 year deal, and he is prone to injuries. Peterson will be the impact player that the browns need. You can't pass in the NFL until you can run the ball.

I particularly could believe Preston - in the journey that they are smart then they are going to. Jamal Lewis may be in reality 27 yet in case you watch him run he's a trifling shell of himself - it truly is why the Browns in reality signed him to a a million year deal. this type in the journey that they draft Peterson - he has a mentor. it truly is totally confusing for a rookie again to come back in an manage to carry 20 cases a activity. There are exceptions to the rule of thumb - besides the undeniable fact that in general it truly is perfect for a rookie to be secure and characteristic the mentor. also both again equipment is for genuine. it truly is all about toughness. it truly is why Julius Jones has been splitting time with Marion Barber, Corey Dillion with Lawrence Maroney, and etc. it truly is critical to save your older again healthful and substances him reps so he can make his settlement bonuses, to boot as letting your rookie take some hits and get some journey lower than his belt. it truly is a procedure...Rome wasn't outfitted in one day.
