Theres a few options here, you can use something called VNC Viewer, install on machine you want to access remotley and machine you want to use to access, find out the ip of the machine you want to access and type it into your home pc, enter the password and there you go. You could also set up something called a VPN (virtual private network) i would advise talking to ther person in charge of IT before setting up any of these.

Good Luck

You my friend, are referring to remote access. Sadly I do believe you schools pc's will have it blocked for obvious reasons.
However all you have to do it two things:

In control panel - set you your system to allow for remote access.
Next download the following software on both computer systems (the bit that won't work at school but worth knowing anyway.)

VNC

This won't help you as I keep saying but it is good to learn and use in the future.
