If i get vista 4 a pc can i use the same cd on a laptop?

You will be able to use the CD on both the laptop and the PC, but when trying to activate it, you will only be allowed to activate Vista on 1 of your machines.

You will have to purchase separate license's for the laptop and PC.

Actually, the licence states that you can have one copy on your home PC, one on your laptop - but they must be owned by the same person. However, MAKE SURE you check All the specifications of your computers against Vista's requirements - it needs a really good machine to fully work!!!
