I started a period like 2 weeks ago. It was a Wednesday and I started taking a new pack of birth control pills the following Sunday. I have not taken birth control pills in years. I am bleeding really heavy and I am just wondering if I should stop taking the pills? Maybe they are what is making it so heavy? It does not look like it is stopping anytime soon.

I was put on the pill to help regulate my periods. I was having one only like 4 times a year.

Call your doctor, he/she should be able to talk to you just over the phone. It never hurts for their opinion and they put you on this pill. Give them a buzz.

The pill should have regulated your period and after a few days it shouldn't be so heavy!

Good Luck.

Was you put on the pill for the obvious reasons, or did you go on them for another problem?
I don't know how old you are but sometimes menopause will start like this.
contact your doctor, the pill should have stopped your period, by now.
