Alright, here is the situation. I had a miscarriage on 01/18, I was 5 weeks. No D&C. Doctor said we could start trying again after one cycle. Got my period on 2/20. My cycles are usually 28-29 days long but after the miscarriage, my period took longer to come (my doctor said that was normal). I have been doing these stupid ovulation strips since 3/1 (10 days after my period) and they all show up negative! I started testing in the morning when I began doing it but then I realized that I should be testing in the afternoon. I started testing in the afternoon on 3/3. My husband and I had sex on 2/24, 2/26, 3/1, 3/3, 3/4, and 3/6. Could I have missed my ovulation? Could I already be pregnant? Are these ovulation strips worth anything? My boobs are a little sore and I am pretty sleepy but that's about it. We got pregnant on the third month of trying-but then had the miscarriage :( I can't stop thinking about all of this. Please help! Thank you!!!!!

When I was pregnant I used the ovulation kits etc and they never seemed to work(waste of money) you can usually tell you are going to ovulate and ore ovulating by this discharge you get it is like egg-white and you can stretch it between your fingers. I gave up on the ovulation tests and had sex when I had this discharge(usually around the 15-16th day of your cycle and I got pregnant the first try!! Good luck, it will happen soon. By the way, the first sign of pregnancy I had was sore boobs and my nipples looked really dark. I got tired as well around the second month.

Both times I've been pregnant, I've used the test kits, however I also was monitoring my basal body temp (bbt) and my cervical fluid/mucous.

I've also had 2 miscarriages, and your cycle might be the same as it was before, or it might take a few months to work itself into a cycle. I noticed that after my second m/c my cycles would alternate between 30 days one month and 34 the next.

I also recommend reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" http://www/tcoyf.com . It's a very insightful look at general women's healt, but also trying to get pregnant and learing the signals your body sends you every month.

Good luck with everything--you have all of my best wishes!

I'm sorry about your miscarriage.

Perhaps you should try monitoring your basal body temps & cervical fluid instead of relying on the OPK strips. http://www.fertilityfriend.com offers free charting and analysis. I have found it to be really eye-opening, and the website says that temps + fluid analysis is more accurate than OPK.

Just looking at your data, it's hard to say if you might be pregnant. However, a hpt might give a positive reading if you ovulated on or around 2/24. I'd say go for it and find out.

Good luck!
