either fear or love. hatred or trust. it's just like star wars said..

you can get people to do things (i.e - power) by making them afraid of the consequences if they don't or by making them want to do it out of their own free will, by giving them an incentive.

someimtes people say that you can't make anyone do anything but i believe that for the most part, that is simply untrue. almost everybody has a price at which they'll do just about anything they're told.

What usually passes for "power" in this culture, are namely the psychopathically oriented "abilities" for exercising dominion and control over everything and everyone. Neither healthy not ideal.

Real power comes from being "in tune" with the "cosmos", consciousness-wise, and thus with the forces of nature and "the divine". This connection facilitates the doing of benevolent activities for the good of all. Rather than those that benefit only the few, the heartless, and the greedy. :))

In yourself, and in something that people do together. Power is not some force or violence and is never a property of one person. If one person has "power" above another, then we are talking about domination and violence. We can realize our power only in living with other people, in communication and cooperation.

You are not speaking of power, you are speaking of arrogance.

True power causes people to respect your judgment so they want to follow.

Fear will get the result that you are speaking of but fear is always the chose tool of the weak.
