I am an avid fan, and I have to say that the Broncos are better than last year. Let's start with Running Back, Tatum Bell might be a younger RB with more juice to suck out, but Travis Henry is an experienced, bruising back who will undoubtely succed in the Broncos zone blocking scheme. After all, the tradition of Broncos' back reaching 1000 yards every season still lives on. Next is the O-Line, not to brag or anything, but when you got running backs getting 1000 yards every season and the QB blocked adequately, you know you are doing something right. Next is recieving, ok... they got Javon Walker, Rod Smith and signed TE Daniel Graham, thats a great recieving corp right there, not to mention in waitings like Kircus who is really really fast and Brandon Marshall who is an excellent young WR.
To the defensive side, now, the D-LINE is above average, considering Courtney Brown was out last year. On the d-line, they haen't lost a single player from last year's great run-stopper, instead, Brown is healthy and they signed Dan Wikerson. Elvis Dumervil is scary. Now for CB, thats where I think the broncos might be a little unfamiliarised. Darrent Williams, who was an excellent CB who had a lot of potential, passed away, that would leave a HUGE HOLE. fortunately, bringing in Bly will ease some pain, but now Bly is unhappy cuz he wanna go to washington, so the Broncos need to convince playing beside Bailey is the best thing he can hope for. Now for Bailey, he is, in my mind, the best Corner in the history of football, as a QB, you just don't look in his direction. He can tackle, can intercept, can read plays and can cover, you cant get more shut-down than that. One thing I am concerned of is the bullying Bly will receive this year. He is not known for his tackling, so ya, he will definitely get a lot of interceptions since QB dont throw to bailey, but on the other hand, he will also give up a lot of big and deep plays, plays which can turn the momentum around. Denver needs to teach him to play shut-down and not go for the ball everytime. On linebackers, Al Wilson is one of the most underrated LBs in the league, and judging by their awesome run stopping ability last year, this year will be the same, if not better. John Lynch is getting old, but he can still hit like a truck and can still creat fumbles. Foxworth is a dependable young safety. Special teams, Jason Elam still got some legs on him and he is dependable. Ernester needs to boost his punting avg. considering he is playing half of his game in Mile High City.
Lastly, the Jay Cutler issue, i think its fair to say that this guy's got a hell of an arm, throwing 60 yards was nothing but a little flick of the wrist. That being said, I think Shanahan will teach him how to make better decisions and all the things a young QB will have to do, but after that, I think Cutler will be one of the best young QBs in the league.
So ya, I think the Broncos are strongly in contention of a Superbowl, atfer all, they've already got a CHAMP.

Last year, the Broncos were giving up in the 4th quarter, winning or losing. Also they have made some great offseason moves. If the Broncos fix their problem, and start playing a whole 60 minutes, we can and will go to the Superbowl

Let's start with their schedule. By finishing third in their division they will play the third place team from the other divisions in the conference (Buff, HOU, PITT). They also play MINN, DET, and GB from the NFC. I beleive they win 5 out of 6 there. plus you can count on them going at worst 3-3 if they split in their own division.. That is eight wins already from their weaker schedule next year. Pencil in a sweep against the Raiders and home games against TENN and JAX will be automatic wins---That is easily a 10-6 record so playoffs are a lock
Then you have SD and by finishing first they will play INDY, BALT, and NE so 14-2 isn't happening. Give the Division and a first round bye to DEN
Then look at their moves this offseason. Dre Bly, Daniel Graham, Travis Henry, Proven players at positions the Broncos needed to address. Bly may be gone to the Redskins and the teams will also swap first round draft picks. That gives the Broncos the 6th overall. An immediate impact player.
The Broncos will contend with an improved offense and a stout defense and a weaker schedule. Look for the Broncos to the lead the way in 07

Well...all in all i guess that would souly depend on Jay Cutlers development. The defense is there and they picked up a decent back in Travis Henry from Tennessee. But going from what i saw from Cutler last year...they'll have a tough time playing San Diego and KC twice. Yet with all the player movement so far in free agency i guess anything is possible. So i would say they have a decent shot to at least make the play-offs. And if they end up with home field advantage for at least a wild card game that thin air gives them one hell of an advantage. So are they a contender? Yes. But definitely not up there with San Diego, New England, and Indianapolis

If they were in the AFC I would say no doubt. But in the AFC you have the Colts, Patriots, and Ravens to name a few. They could make it to the Super Bowl but need to have a good regular season so the Broncos can get a bye and get some rest before the playoffs begin.

They do have a solid team. Cutler is the x- factor for this team to succeed. I do think that Cutler is ready to not make mistakes as Plummer did. As for all the Patriots talking trash, the Broncos own the Patriots. Regular season or playoffs.

I think they are but a lot will depend on the play of a continuing improving Cutler. Also, the AFC has probably 8 teams that are legitimate SB contenders.

They Thundering Donkeys are making some early moves, but will still need to improve come draft day. They did good to shore up their already good defense by getting Bly (if he stays). They improved their running offense but will still need to get better at O line.
They will most likely end up fighting against the Chiefs again for 2nd place in the AFC West behind the Chargers. They will likely handle the Raiders along with everyone else.
With their schedule they will be likely to end up with a record that gets them in the playoffs. They may even end up getting beat a third time by the Chargers in the second round after beating the Colts or Patsies.
The Chargers will be facing the toughest schedule this next year, but most of the higher ranked teams are gonna play in SD. That being said, if the Donks get their offense up to pace with their D, they could end up facing the Chargers for a place in the Super Bowl.

I believe that the denver broncos would be a superbowl contender if they find a decent running back. Henry is alright, he ain't no T.D. but who knows with the reputation of the denver O-Line. They turn nobodys into superstars.
