I have never heard of that but I am trying to get pregnant too I have been trying for about 5 months which isn't very long, but I do take a vitamin everyday that contains all the things you need should you get pregnant e.g folic acid. Everyone keeps telling me not to think about it, relax and focus on other things and it will happen when its ready etc which is probably all true but it is easier said than done. Its all about being relaxed and not stressed which I am told is part of the treatment when going for fertility treatment anyway taking this on board I decided to take something up which helps me relax The thing I found that helped me was Reiki (prenounuced Ray-Key) but maybe you should try something maybe yoga or pilates or whatever suits you really, sorry to waffle but I am trying to help as I know a bit of what your feeling. xxx

My advice if you're not already doing it would be to buy an Ovulation kit from your local pharamcy. We tryied for while around the time I thought I ws ovulating then when I used the kit I find out I was four days wrong so it was no wonder I wasn't getting pregnant. The kit ( about £8 in the UK - $20?) pin points the exact day of ovulation then my doctors advice was to have sex once a day the day before and then the day after ovulation NOT to go at it like bunnys as the sperm get stronger if they stew a little in his sacks! Sorry to be technical - not! We tried the advice and it worked within 3 months of trying.
Good luck, your local docto or nurse will give you some very good advice - I was a bit shy but it was the best thing I ever did asking them - there will be someone at your local clinic with fertility/conception advice.

YES. I'd been trying for 9 months with my second baby my Dr put me on clomid and that month i was pregnant so it worked for me. give it a go and good luck . How it Works: Clomid influences the regulation of four hormones required for ovulation: GnRH, FSH, LH and estradiol. While we do not completely understand how this drug works, it appears that Clomid fools the body into believing that the estrogen level is low. This altered feedback information causes the hypothalamus (an area of the brain) to make and release more GnRH which in turn causes the pituitary gland to make and release more FSH and LH. More FSH and more LH should result in the release of one or more mature eggs - ovulation.
How Hormones Control Your Menstrual Cycle
Prescribing Information: When used for ovulation induction, Clomid is taken orally for approximately five days early in the menstrual cycle. Depending upon your clinic protocol, this may start as early as day 3 or as late as day 5. It is important to remember that the first day of the menstrual cycle is the first day of normal bleeding, not spotting. Most women begin with an initial dose of one tablet (50 mg.) per day. This dose may be increased by your physician in subsequent cycles if pregnancy does not occur.

I thought you could only get Clomid on prescription thru your GP?
This drug stimulates ovulation, if this is your problem it could well help. If my memory servers me right i think couples using this treatment have a higher occurance of twins.
I would go to your doctor and get his advice before you undergo any fertility treatments as he may send you and your partner for tests and may direct you in a course of action that will be effective for you.

never heard of that before, but just keep having sex and im sure it will happen, if not there are a lot of things they can do to help you nowadays.
if not im sure there are more than enough babies out there to be adopted.
