trying to make a timetable of withdrawl from Iraq...basically giving our enemies a time to wait for us to leave...also the "Democratic officials who described the measure said the timetable would be accelerated — to the end of 2007 — if the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki does not meet goals for providing Iraq's security".... so if the mess we created doesn't improve they will take away the only security Iraq has now...they already oppose a larger force...

You're completely right! Dems are all talk, all meetings, all focus groups and NO Action! They want change, but can't agree on what that should be. And frankly, if they do know what to do, they're afraid to execute it because they might be blamed and find out that they were sorely wrong.

Bush? Iraq? You mean "saving us from weapons of mass destruction" (oops, none) ummm ... errr "liberating Iraq from an oppressor" (umm getting messy... and a lot of people dying all the time) umm ... errr "Bringing democracy to Iraq"....
Logic? The stated goals keep changing. Does anybody know what the real objective really was aside from ... maybe Dick Cheney?
Really, one thing the Bush Administration lacks regarding Iraq is CREDIBILITY. The administration has shown NO INTEGRITY. They haven't been remotely honest with the public, and I wonder if they are fooling themselves as well.
One thing is certain, the Bush Administration can't be trusted (and the public is wise to that now), and I see no evidence of anything resembling a well-reasoned approach to the whole fiasco.

The mess we created is not exactly how it went.
"We" believed our president knew what he was doing but that soon went out the window. Like the parents of an unruly teenager we have to give Bush restrictions as a punishment for his actions. This is his mess and now he has to deal with it.

You call the policy and plan Bush has instigated in Iraq as logic? It hasn't been since the start. It has been haphazard, uncoordinated, and completely ineffectual. Logical thinking is definitely not one of Bush's strong points.
