the importance of society in my opinion can be equated to the importance of a group. society is as a second organization after a family. it is made of individuals to tackle their problems and even to maintain their existence. this shows us that there was or is a cause for each and evry organization that is an individual faces a problem that looks too big s/he will look for a group. but problems may not be the only reasons to have a group. in today;s world it is very hard for an individual to live separated from a society because we are living in a time that the society is extremely intricated, small and interacted like never before. having said all this we shouldn't forget that an individual is a base for the society and continuity of society will be affected without a man.

You have asked three VERY different questions...

To answer your first Q: Groups of people living together and attempting to do this harmoniously equals society has always been. But society has not always had IDEALS. The ancients (Phoenicians, Egyptians, Greeks on into every culture into the 1800's) had ideals placed on society about morals & ethics & fellow man share & share alike & knowledge gaining sorts of steering. This was in my opinion the best steering & goals. This led a man/woman to quality of spiritual happiness & sense of accomplishment. (even though times they was harsh and dirtier)

The importance of society in the world has now switched drastically into something grotesque. This switch be a very recent & "modern" one in which the love of money knows no bounds. Today's ideals of society are evidently now about the speed of commerce. How to be The drive of society's shopping and material gain without people able to stop & think whats this life for - my happiness or their commercialism. Society revolves around nepotism and who one knows AKA the wealthy or elite. (The wealthy (elite) have come together to gain a profit from the poor masses, and in fact control the media.) People have lost their soul & think materials including looks are more important than their inner selves.

To answer your second Q: First of all society be a choice. The choice of choosing to live amongst people with their opinions. Man could easily survive without any humans as he could go live under a rock & do quite well under this rock resorting to the ancient methods of hunting & gathering.

To answer your third Q: Man invented society so no society doesn't get to be an option without man. However there are many animal societies that might welcome him like the ever social wolf who has been known for their willingness to adopt human children & raise them.

a society is formed by a group of human beings

so society belongs to them and they belong to society!

society plays a prominent role in the world!

in fact nowadays societies are changing rapidly and are in a race to win the honor of who lasts longer and helps in the development of the world!

anything could cause harm to a man could harm the whole society members so there is no way that a man could live without a society or a society lives without man cause the production of society depends on its members!

so society is not just a name! it's human beings efforts to maintain their existence!

Society IS 'man', kat. The importance of society is the interaction of people with other people. Note that where you have a secluded group of people, they develop far less than a larger group. It's the lack of intellectual stimulus, not any mental deficiency which makes them 'hicks'.
Then again, lots of people in one lump make lots of mess, on many levels, so who's right?

Individuals really can't survive without other humans. Society thrives well when SOME individuals who are problems are removed from the society.
