If you watch MTV, how would you feel if they dropped ALL their side shows on the channel, like TRL, & Real World & played ONLY 24 hours of music videos.
You guys *Do* realize that's what it was all about during like, the 1st 3-4 years of MTV, right?

FULLY agree w/ mystermy.
It'd would def' have to roll w/. the times & play lots of indie/undiscovered bands too. There're a couple of local tv channels that're doing just that. MTV oughta take notice.

I wish MTV would be all about music once again. Have a lot of music videos and music programs. Programs featuring different genres and bands would be interesting. They would have to cover "indie" bands and well known bands alike, not just a lot of the pop junk they play now days. This would be quality Music Television!

I only like the music, but I think they have too much rap, they got to get back to the rock music. And I'm not sure if it is affiliated with MTV but Spike has some good shows so they should keep that for sure, but I may be stupid if they are totally different stations or whatever.
I'd rather they get rid of the rap though, then I would be in the living room all day watching.

I would love it.
MTV was one of the greatest television networks ever, and then it stopped playing music. I remember being able to turn it on and watch a string of videos that i'd actually enjoy instead of a mix between hip hop, r&b, and oversaturated pop punk crap. I live in Canada, and MTV Canada doesn't even have music on it, it amazed me how Music Television was all talk shows and drama shows that no one cares about - "like omg it's laguna beach, lets watch rich kids freak out about the daily grind!". Even worse is that MuchMusic (the canadian music channel) completely emulates MTV and premieres MTV shows on it. Whatever happened to MTV pushing the borders of our sanity with non-stop music? All I see is endless reality tv shows that i can't imagine why some one would care about and hip hop videos of scantly clad women. No wonder this generation is lost.

Don't really watch MTV but I love the RUSH - Fly by night album cover aviatar you have. I you are really under 25 that album cover is older than you are.

i myself like staring at in simple terms music television. It replaced into in basic terms lower back in what, 1980's? the place MTV replaced into started? i could somewhat have in simple terms music all over the clock, because of the fact many of the shows on there are particularly dumb. it is why I shop it on bounce buttons, like MTV, VH1, CMT, and different channels on a similar time so i dont could watch the stupid little area shows.

I know how it used to be. I hate mtv now. I hate how its all rap and hip hop now too. And reality tv. It makes me very VERY sad.

im 16 and was pissed when they stopped playin alot of videos.i would like if they did it for 24 hours.their shows are gay except the juvi one.
