I gave out my address thinking a buyer would come and buy a product from me. Then next thing you know, a failed attempt to my ebay account is sent to me saying i forgot my password. What happens from here on? I have his IP address. I changed all the passwords on my accounts. Now what, I really wanna catch this guy and have him prosecuted. Am I safe? What should I do from here? Any advice please. Im worried.

I'm not sure of all the details, but don't jump to conclusions on the ebay account - there's been a lot of hacking attempts on ebay accounts lately, along with a *lot* of phishing emails going around saying "Your account to service (insert name here) need to have the password reset!".

If you can show that his IP is the one who requested the password change, you *might* be able to go after him... but that's not a lot of evidence, since he didn't get in. It'd be like trying to get someone arrested for burglary if they just checked the door to your house and found it to be locked.

If you're concerned, the best thing to do would be contact ebay security - they do this sort of thing a lot, and should be able to poke into it and see if they can find any records of misdeeds. If they do, they should be able to advise you on the next steps.
