Are authors crawlers and lack moral integrity because they will suck up people to get their first break. I mean becuase they will suck and kowtow does this mean they lack any backbone and are not people to respect. I mean most people dont respect people who grovel-so does that mean mean authors dont deserve respect because they grovel to get a break

You are assuming that authors do behave this way.

Authors, like anybody else needing to earn a living, need to sell their work, which in their case means approaching agents etc. That's life. It's not so different from people in offices having to respond to job advertisements to get work.

Many fictional works are about moral issues: their message has power becuase their aothors have moral integrity rather than the opposite. Indeed the vast majority of books are written because the author thinks (s)he has something to say that will improve the world. If they were just in it for the money, most authors could earn more by doing something else.

It is hard to say that authors beg or suck up more than anyone else. If you work at a company and you are trying to move up, you will try to impress your boss as much as possible. This goes for most people. Getting farther in your career can mean having to suck up to the bosses from time to time so its not just authors.

First, who taught you English? They need to have their teaching license revoked.

Second, where in the world did you come up with this ridiculous notion? You have absolutely no idea about the industry. Books are published based on whether or not a publisher believes it will sell. You can send me a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates, but if your story sucks and you can't even construct a sentence I am not going to publish it.

Since you have a least half a dozen questions in this vein, one can only assume you harbor some bitter resentment, perhaps from being recently, repeatedly rejected?

People who work hard, write prolifically (spelling correctly!) and submit, submit, submit, despite rejections are the ones who become successful.
