I have always called them sparklies. Kind of like watching sparklers on the Fourth of July. If you watch them long enough and squeeze your eyes tight then you get all kinds of designs. It also is like watching fireworks but even better looking in a kaleidoscope.

My response is not the correct answer and it looked like many looked through the Internet for their answers. You did not ask for the correct name so I went with my version. You may have to have an imagination for this answer.
