Can anyone suggest a really good way to propose to my girlfriend? Something special, not necessarily romantic. I live in South Africa (Joburg) if that helps! Thank you all for helping! :-)

the key is to be original. I have been planning other people's engagement as a proffession now, for 5 years. Women liked to be thought as the only woman in your world, so make her beleive it! ... take her to her favourite place on the beach/ park and have a romantic picnic by candle light (be careful!) and just remember to have a lovely time and when you start your romantic walk on the beach, do it the traditional way!

How about taking her for a trip to Cape Town. Take her for a walk up Table Mountain.
If you stay at the Holiday Inn or somewhere, they will pack you a picnic basket with Champagne. Put the ring in the glass - there is a waterfall behind the Rhodes Memorial. Very special.

first of all Congratulations are in order!! take her to your special place or favorite place, prepare a dinner with her favorite foods and get down on your knee, i know its old fashioned but it works.. congratulations again
