Like all signs in the Zodiac, Ariens have their faults too...
Generally speaking:
Loud, controlling, stubborn, competitiveness, tempermental, and vengeful.
Mars is your ruling planet, the planet of War, Stategy and Passion. Because of this, should someone cross you, you are good at telling that person they are going down and you plan their demise accordingly. Of course being passionate and firey doesn't help, it will only feed the fire. Also Mars is a planet that thrives on competition. Theoretically speaking, War is the ultimate competition and well - Aries loves it.
Your ruling body part is your head so you often jump to conclusions without using logic and reason. Therefore you get tempermental and fast.
If you think about the animal that represents an Aries - it's a Big Horn Sheep or Ram. A Ram is known for their headbutting and that's exactly what an Aries will thrive on.
Just as a side note, not all Ariens feel this way. It's very easy to have a more docile personality. Example - if you have an Aries sun sign and a Cancer Moon sign - you might be competitive but on a much less scale.

I'm Aries. I'm hot tempered, impatient, somewhat self centered (less so now that I have kids). I can be jealous. But the temper is the worst part.

The N-E-G-A-T-I-V-E side of aries is they are impatient, self-centered, overly agressive. They can be too straight forward and too blunt about things. They are very domineering, bossy, and can come off as very selfish.
