I want to do a big clean of my house. Only problem is I think its meant to be raining when I want to do it. Im going to be going to the local tip when I do it (for some recycling) so no job to big or small. Any ideas other than normal dust, sweep, etc
Thank you

start your big clean by oing the inside stuff that does not require you to go outside. On rainy days i usually do a lot of the things i don't normally get a chance to do. I sometimes empty my kitchen cabinets and vacuum them out and clean them . Or I pull all the curtains down and wash them. These chores are usually overlooked while doing all of these jobs you will often find yourself moving things that may not be needed an you can box them up to prepare yourself for a nicer day to go the tip. designate one area in your home for these boxes and just keep going with the deep cleaning of your home. Other jobs may included going through clothes to see what may or may not fit or just isnt something you wear anymore. Or your linen closet. Maybe even behin couches and such .

Move the furniture out and wash the walls and baseboards: You will be amazed at how cobwebs and dust can collect on the walls there.

Take stuff out of your cabinets and wash there.

Get a friend with a dolly to help you move your major appliances and clean the floor there.

Take down the covers for your ceiling lights and wash them: Bugs somehow manage to get into them.

Good luck!

Start up high and move to lower items...EXAMPLE: dust fans and light fixtures before tables and lamps, then vacuum the floor that way all of the dust should be caught either by dusting or vacuuming.
Wash all of your curtains.
Take comforters to the cleaners.
vacuum base boards.
wash windows.
clean out old clothes - donate to a charity (great tax write-off).
Vacuum all upholstery.

OOOOooo, also check the walls and ceilings for dust or cobweb things...that is so gross...vaccum them with your attachments.

I'm a clean freak so the idea of one big cleaning blows my mind...I do it all of the time.

Clean out underneath your sinks and throw away outdated, mostly empty items. Take down all your knick knacks and pictures and wash and dust them. Pull out your appliances such as the stove and refrigerator and clean behind them and wash the floor underneath them.
