Good Charlotte fail to appreciate the full socioeconomic ramifications of female otherness in the context of a patriarchal capitalist culture.

While on one hand the free-market system continues to enshrine cars and money as visible signifiers of personal validity and a socially demanded form of conspicuous consumption, and on the other hand the patriarchy condemns women to a lesser state of personhood whereby their personal worth is inextricably linked to the absolute wealth of the male partner they are able to attract, it is inevitable that the logical action of the female human will be to pursue males who display the most material wealth.

Good Charlotte are therefore correct in asserting that girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money. However, their thesis collapses when they fail to suggest the possible rectification of this system via a Marxist-feminist revolution and instead point out that "boys will laugh at girls when they're not funny", thus perpetuating negative stereotypes of women as judged through the prism of patriarchal approval.

For the most part, I think girls like boys more than cars and money. We like security and to be in love and to feel special and I can't remember a time when a car or money was able to make me feel any of those things. Now if the girl is a heartless stuck up insecure snob, then yes, that song would be her anthem, but for the majority of us girls, I think we would take the feeling of being in love over a fancy car and/or money anyday.

Personal opinion of course.;)

Lets just say its easier to get a girl with cars and money. Thinking of coming to America though posing as an average guy you might actually find a girl that is interested in you.

In a way, I do agree. Unfortunately, in our society, girls are often impressed with the notion to pursue material things and to seek men who can "pave the way." Many are lured into this mode of thinking and I find that to be tragic. Having a bountiful life can be wonderful, but sacrificing who you are to attain that goal is certain to have draw backs.

I disagree.

I hate cars, I like SUV's.
Kidding.

If that were true, I wouldn't be with my boyfriend.

Then again, it's hard to say I'm a girl, considering I still have friends who think I'm a gay guy.

None-the-less, personality and love, and not money and cars is the right way to go.

Depends on the girl. If I only liked cars and money I wouldn't have married my husband, because he has neither! lol

Not all women. I only like cars and money when they're mine, and I couldn't care less if a guy had them.

I think girls like bands that have enough sense to hire a competent lyricist.

Well personally, I'm a lesbian. I don't like boys.

I do like cars, and I do like money, because I can use cars to travel and money to eat/house myself/play.
