of course i cant buy all these. i want to buy the best out of these! thts y im asking you if you could short list the best for me! im not a millionare something to buy all these guys! all these films are recommended by my friends who watched them and some who recommended me in yahoo answers!

This is most random list of films. Some are classics and some are trash - are your friends having a laugh with you???
Also that's an awful lot of films not to have seen - are you having a laugh with us???
Anyway, I would stop listening to your friends - throw away the list and go to Imdb.com and start buying these...

It really depends on your taste in movies. Here's my thoughts on a few:
About Last Night - total chick flick (I love it but my husband thinks it's trash)
Color of Night - nothing original about it but lots of nudity if you're into that
Fantastic Four - good plot but the casting could be better (okay--I give the guys Jessica Alba but that she, Ioan Gruffud, Michael Chiklis, and Julian McMahon (Reed/Ben/Victor) all went to school together? Plz) and the acting is stunted for half of the film
Shall We Dance - get the original Japanese version w/ subtitles. The American version is too fluffy for me.
The Devil Wears Prada - if you've read the book, just rent the movie because it will disappoint.
But this is just my opinion. Top three must haves on your list: Liar Liar; There's Something About Mary; Sense and Sensibility (if you're a Jane Austen fan). Enjoy your movies!

It depends on what kind of flick you're going for. Chick flicks: "Cinderella Story"., "Perfect Man", "The Wedding Date", "Shall we Dance", "Sweet November", "Never Been Kissed", "Ever After", to name a few.
There seems to be a few erotica titles as well: "Wild Orchid" and "Emmanuelle 2"... soft porn if you will.
But there's some great flicks to make you wonder as well, "Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind" and "Summer of Sam". Make sure you know the kind of movies you'd like to have in your collection. "Something about Mary" HILARIOUS... I own it and have watched it several times. Really any of Adam Sandler or Ben Stiller movies are great if your looking for humor.

It's a pretty harsh list, but for drama I would recommemd "Fight Club" and "Body Heat" For comedy, go with "There's Something About Mary" and "A Fish Called Wanda". Watch "Exit To Eden" at your own risk and are down with the idea of seeing Rosie O'Donnell in tight leather. Yikes!

That way you'd get a little bit of comedy, a little romance (but not too mushy), a little action and a good cry

broke back mountain sucked, for the Thomas crown affair i would suggest the Steve McQueen version, Vin diesel is not a movie but an actor, the mask was Jim Carey at his worst, very bad things was good, you might as well add these movies to your list they fit your theme.
