Body modification is becoming big, but it hasn't hit mainstream yet. Imagine if Apple decides to bridge the underground with the money dense 13-17 age bracket. You saw the Ipod's success, the Iphone will be big too...now imagine the future market IPARTS. Finally android body parts which can give you superpowers just like your favorite superhero and make you cool at your school. The only downside is it will cost you a arm and a leg....literally.

The best sci-fi films deal with some classic philosophical question like solipsism (the idea that nothing except your own mind is real, eg in the matrix) or alienation/existentialism (eg pretty much all of them). Try looking through an intro to philosophy or ethics book. If some question grabs you, it'll be easier to see how it could be turned into a sci-fi dilemna. If you're appealing to techies, make sure you get your technical terms right; otherwise rather minimise the jargon.

how's about this
a person(random person gender has no effect) finds out that they are being watched and followed, now you have to keep it on their point of view so we don't know why they are or if they even are bring followed, the person would be constantly watching those who are watching them. person reaches out to family, they don't buy it, person wakes up one night hearing noises inside house, person attacks intruder, kills intruder......... and that's where I'm stopping not giving away ending in a public forum, sorry just want to see this on TV one day, if the asker wants to know how to end it you can email me.

yea, the story of my life is really scarry. sometimes people think it is fictional. (It isn't) I was told to write a book and I'd be a millionair.
