Ok,
An ideology is a set of beliefs. It encompasses more than one belief.
A belief, is believing the truth of a proposition.
IE:
Belief's ---
There is a GOD.
The government should champion morals
The free Market is the best Economic system
Ideology --- There is a GOD --- The government should champion morals --- The free Market is the best Economic system.
Political parties share an ideology, meaning they share a certain set of beliefs, but they do not share all beliefs.
Christians and Muslims share a belief.....There is a GOD.
But they do not share an ideology ---
they do not share beliefs on just how one should worship that GOD.
How one should treat other's.
How GOD has interacted with man.

The two are different.
A belief is something you consider is true. It may be a subjective or objective - Santa Claus exists, politicians are always corrupt, Coldplay is the best band in the world etc. It may be possible to disprove a belief, but many beliefs are held independent of logic. An intelligent, scientifically literate Christian may validate his beliefs by conveniently ignoring the facts that disprove creationism, thinking that there is something greater to the puzzle he is unaware of, or simply form a mental "lets not go down that path" signpost in his mind.
Ideology is more complex. It is rooted in logic, and thus can be proven or disproven. However people choose their ideology according to their own personal values and self-interest. An open-minded person who holds an ideological standpoint (feminism is oppressive, taxation is necessary etc) may be convinced otherwise, or at least realise there are two sides to the coin, through a good argument that is consistent with their personal values.
So I would say Christianity and Islam are beliefs, while socialism and (to a lesser extent) ecology are ideologies

A belief can refer to one thing; an ideology is a relatively coherent system of beliefS.
The word ideology is usually used to refer to political belief systems, such as socialism, liberalism, conservatism, fascism etc. Relgions are also systems of belief, so I see no reason why islam, christianity, judaism and so on should not be spoken of as ideologies, though it is less usual to do so.

Ideology is blind - even though you may think something is wrong you will endorse it because you embrace the ideology.
Belief is a conclusion you have arrived at without ideological influence.
Nice question!

Religions are beliefs, unless one is fanatic about his religion, so his ideology is to implement his religious beliefs. In other words, ideology is the desire to bring beliefs to reality.

Ideology is dead.
Belief is alive.
Which do you want to follow?
The dead or the living?
Between christainity and muslim.
Look around who is more likely to behave like a cave-men with backwardness in planet of apes?
Ever wonder who is at total loss to our creator's universal gifts of life vital for the survival and advancement of living human kind in planet of apes?
Ever wonderwho is being left behind with time at loss and stranded in stomping their feets at the graveyards of ancestor's custom in not following our creator in planet of apes.
Ever wonder who is making a monkey out of themselves living in misery with self discrimination to our creator in planet of apes?
Look around who created the mess for themselves while others were at loss and blurr on what went wrong with the blunders and slip-ups with human errors in making a monkey out of themselves in planet of apes.
Ever wonder how the blind were leading the blind in playing the merry-go-rounds in planet of apes.
