I also am almost 32 and feel that the gap between our kids would be too much. I am not maternal in the slightest and would love to get sterilised. Help

I would just like to say that we never discussed babies when we got together as we were only 17, I got pregnant 1st time by accident and I most certaintly do not think that my husband is a bastard as one kind person has mentioned. It is not causing problems between us at the moment I just want to know if I'm being selfish towards him by not wanting any more.

Tell him how you feel, if you are happy and don't want any more children then you shouldn't have to. Its your body and if you don't want to go through all of that again then don't. Take some time out where you can both sit down and talk onyour own and explain exactly how you are feeling. He will understand, good luck x

Explain your reasons to your hubby, as well as your concerns about the age gap etc. At the end of the day if you decide to bring a child into the world, that child has the right to be wanted by both parents, and if you really don't want anymore children, then you really shouldn't have more children.

I also agree with the other comments about it being your body, and that it is more often than not the mother that has to do all the hard work for a new baby.

You have the right to say no, regardless. Stick to your guns, if you don't it is likely to call all sorts of issues in the future.

All the best :))

Shouldn't you have talked about this before getting married? And isn't it funny when a girl wants to have a baby but the guy doesn't, how we all side with the girl and say he's a bastard, but when a girl says no to a baby, it's alright and he's being selfish for asking!?!?!? WTF is that about???

tell him no, it is your body and realistically in almost all cases, it is the female that does all of the day to day care and rearing of a child it is not fair or right of him to expect you to have a child when you really do not want another. it is almost like slavery then eh?..tell him to get a puppy..if he is the one that is going to take care of it..then, if he won't then you can at least find a good home for the puppy
