Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

He will likely appreciate the gift because he will now have a few more clothing options but will not have to worry about doing his own shopping.

10)Another great gift idea is to give something that really reflects his personal interests or hobbies. For example if your husband is really into following a particular sports team, you might consider buying him tickets to a game or a piece of memorabilia. For a man who has an interest in an activity such as fishing, you might consider buying him something related to his hobby such as a new fishing reel or other accessories for fishing.
11)A homemade dinner is also a great gift idea .You may spend a little more time preparing the meal than you normally would spend to cook dinner but both you and your husband will get the benefit of being able to relax and enjoy a fabulous dinner together.
12)Gift certificate for a massage:you might consider giving him the gift certificate and also scheduling an appointment for him so that he doesn't accidentally forget about the gift.

well he may be a diamond but please dont buy a diamond as there are horrors beyond words involved in the diamond trade.
as for another gift how about a hot air balloon ride. maybe with a meal out in there too. i have been up in a balloon and its something no one would forget. dosnt really cost too much it was years ago but i have heard it still not that much really .
i am sure you both would love that. take a camera and be sure to have one really good strap on that camera.
happy birthday mr hubby. oh add to this some bedroom fun to top it all off and no man could ask for more.

If he wears a tie, a nice tie clip. Take a favorite photo and have the diamond set into a silver or gold frame. An earring if he can wear one, you can have the mate set into a ring for you then that two of you will share something together. most men don't care for a lot of rings on their fingers. Or get him a lump of coal and tell him he's your diamond in the ruff lol. Then make him something special, take him away to his favorite place, take him fishing, hunting, camping. But go with him :) All he really wants is you anyway. Good Luck

Like what everyone say's here, you can give him lots of material things that he will enjoy and use, but you can give him one thing that most man always want, your passion and a romance. You can plan and set a table for two, put a long stem rose on top of it, sorround the room that your going to use with lots of lit candles, play some kind of soft music that will make the atmosphere more romantic, then cook his favorite meal with white wine and wear a sexy black dress with high heels.
From there follow your heart and the two of you can be alone without interuption from no one, and you'll see that this might be the greatest gift that you can give him.............

something special go to the shops and pick something - the b'day night decide on something that he and you love to do together , he will be happy with your company , but anything else you are able to dish up ,and do , is a bonus , have a good night regardless (i am sure you will)
