A demonic figure wants one of the children to train in order to take his place. I'm sorry I can't think of the Mini-series name. Hope someone can explain what rthis means. Thank you.

I looked in a few phrase finders, and it appears to be vintage King. I think it means if you lead a good life, you'll die and rot, but if you are somewhat evil, join me (the evil guy in the book). It has a nice, almost biblical ring to it. I think it is more of a recruiting/advertising slogan for the bad guy than something with any real meaning.
