A lot more than you want to learn to live without! It is worth it for you to try to wokr out a payment plan on your own. Get a second job or sell something to pay off what you owe BEFORE it gets to the point of garnishment. I promise, it is a VERY bad experience. They will leave you with only a starvation level income & it makes you look like a schmuck to your employer because it means you haven't handled your own beeswax! If this is a tax matter, go get a CPA to work it out for you. If it is a civil judgement, get your atty to work out a payment plan for you & STICK TO IT to avoid garnishment!

I've heard that they can take up to 80% of your wages. Don't know of anyone that has that much taken though. They hit me for roughly 9%. Not alot but still a pain in the a** at times. Plus they get my Federal Income Tax too. Oh well that's what I get for being young, dumb,& full of cume years ago.The saying goes want to play you will pay.I'm older now but still paying for being stupid. Only a couple of years left though thank God.So my advice is BE SMART & stay protected.
