is it more natural to let only the products of the tear duct clean the eye...or is a good splash of water in the eyes every morning a positively good thing?

I always wash with cold water, in the mornings. It closes your pores up. My eyes are open, i think.

I shut them. I believe letting the tear ducts clean your eyes in washing your face is a really bad thing. Yes the tear ducts can always clean your eyes, but relying on it too much is bad, or even dangerous. The tear ducts will clean your eyes when it needs to-- when there's dust, etc.
Thanks

I keep it shut. For some reason I can't keep it open when splash probably because of the reflex axtions.

I keep mine shut.
I heard that there is so much bacteria in water, tap or bottled, that infection could break out really easily. Tears are the best eye cleansers but you can get drops

It's a natural reflex to shut your eyes--you have no choice.
