I wouldn't say it was the best, but the only one that sticks in my mid. I was about 5 and i was with my mum watching all the floats go by, as you do. There was a big guy in a gorilla costume on one float (i was 5, not sure, but I probably thought it was a real one!) and he jumped off, picked up my Mum, put her over his shoulder and ran off with her!!! It was the most terrifying moment of my life up until that point!!!! I stood there and screamed, all these people were chasing him down the street but he kept running. My mum was returned safe and sound, but I was inconsolable!!!! i can look back and laugh my head off now of course!!!!

Riding the 'motorcycles' on a kiddie ride with my sister that had those really annoying horns that probably drove the operator nuts and being totally awed by the purple sparkly paint on my motorcycle :D
