NO, it will be rejected by the animal that is recieving it the same as a human will reject blood that is the wrong blood type.
HOWEVER, genetic engineering can produce blood, and other substances (pig insulin is already used for diabetics) in animals that will be accepted by humans.

No, you can't donate the blood to another species, but it is possible for an animal to have a blood transfusion from another of it's species.
Many vet hospitals have dog and cat blood donors who will donate blood for emergencies and surgeries.

It can be done...if you want to kill it. The first experiments were attempted using sheep blood to human- didn't work.
Even human blood IS UNIQUE to you. This is why the body has to struggle harder to heal even when there is a "match". Medicine has recognized that patients recover sooner and there is less mortality when the blood volume is "kept up" using volume expanders like dextrose and many others to keep the blood pressure proper. This is the important thing during surgery.

u can donate blood to anyone but it depends on the matching of the donor and the recipients "major histocompatibility complexes"(m.h.c.'s),which r found on the plasma membarane of all body cells.the more no. of m.h.c.'s matched, the less r the chances of the rejection.

Definetly! It's called human sacrifice. The animals would be much appreciated if we did it more often!
