my son is 16y/o and his gf is 15 y/o i talked to her father today and we started talking about teen sex and he told me that his daughter is still a virgin (she is not ) so i told him that his lil girl and my son have been to planed parenthood to get birth control and i have caught them having sex in my house when they thought i was at work
went i caught them she was only wearing a t shirt and a blanket she did not respond the way i think she sould have she just smiled at me and told me they where looking in my other son's room for a condum there was no shame or anything like that
her father told me she is sooo grounded for lying to him and not coming to him before having sex
as a parent should i have told him what i know about his daughter and her lying to him i would want other parents to tell me what my kids are doing at there house so i try and be the kind of parent i want others to be
would you have told him ?

i have always told my kids no sex unless its safe sex
if she was worried about her privacy she should not have been walking around MY house 1/2 naked or having sex in MY car

Definately! We parents really need to stick together. I would want to know!
And personally I feel like the more I allow the kids to do stuff the more they will do. I will make it hard on my kids to do the things I dont want them to do. Sorry but if they want to have sex then do it somewhere else. I will ensure that there is not a time that they can as they can't skip school or be somewhere I dont know they are. I mean for me, And I know some parents won't agree, I dont agree with as long as they are at home where I know where and who they are with....I will let them have sex or drink.
I can still know where they are and who they are with and not let them do that at my house. I feel that's just fueling the fire.

Your son and his girlfriend sound like they are being responsible (condoms etc) and without sounding negative, I do not believe that you should have said anything. Her sex life is her business and not something she should have been forced to come out about to her dad. I suspect there is (or will be) some anger towards you from not only the girfriend but also your son. Some things, like sex, are nobodys business unless you believe they are in danger or not being safe. I was in an identical situation with my boyfriend (now husband)when I was that age and if my mother in law had told my family about my sex life, I would be very angry. Don't take this as a lecture, I am sure ther was no malice in your actions, I just believe in people's right to privacy.

I'm not sure I could bring myself to come out with that, but I think you did the right thing. I think we all need to do our parts in helping this world raise responsible kids!

I think you did exactly the right thing. I would have done the same. He should know. It's her fault for not telling him, not yours. You shouldn't lie for her. She WAS having sex w/ your son.

i would have but in a different way i would have seid that he needed to sit his girl down and have a serious talk with her or talk to the girl first and gave her the oppertunity to speak with her parents first and no 15 should be having sex anyway

I would have told your son no sex until he got married. There is no such thing as safe sex.

look i wouldn't have done that. your son is going to be mad at you. im a teen and i wouldn't of liked it if someone told my dad i wasn't a virgin. if your son really likes that girl he is goin to so mad at you for doin wat you did. thats just wrong. put yourself in your son girlfriends place and put yourself in your son's place. how would you feel if they did that to you when you were a teen. would you like it?
