To answer your question: of course you can ask a serious question about Johnny Depp.
I hope you will get serious answers to match it.
I am still in denial over that story because I cannot find official confirmation yet. In a few hours maybe.
I am a fan of Johnny Depp because I really enjoy his acting and his good looks which, like a good wine, get better as the years pass.
I would be curious to see how his children look like, more like good looking daddy or more like good looking mommy (I’m French, so I really can connect here) but…I never saw them because I am willing to wait until they become adult and eventually choose a public life like their parents, then I’ll know what they look like.
Any actor, singer or any person in any other entertainment fields, who wants to become successful and famous has to make a choice to forfeit their privacy. I could be an actress myself, good or bad (I think I’d be pretty good…lol), but I’m not because I like to go shopping without people looking at me with wide eyes. Fame and fortune is not my cup of tea. I do not have the wish to always have to look good in public…
You are right to think that children of celebrities should not have to be exposed to the media just because daddy’s famous or mommy’s famous or both (which is the case here).
The thing is, Johnny Depp, whether he wants it or not, has become an important person in a lot of people’s lives. Therefore, everything related to him becomes important too. He just wants to be an actor and make good movies with good directors and good writers and a good crew…but unfortunately, he’s too good for his own good.
As a fan of him, I can tell you that his magic does not end when the movie ends…
But still, being a righteous person, I would respect his privacy and the privacy of his family and I would be willing to know nothing about it.
But of course, I do not run a tabloid newspaper trying to sell to as much people as they can…
I hope Lily-Rose is OK like I hope any child in any hospital is OK.
That little girl is Johnny's heart, nothing can happen to her because it would break his heart and his heart has been broken enough already...

Ya I feel the same way.
I love Johnny Depp. Not just because of his looks and his acting ability but because he is so devoted to his family. Sure you hear about Brad Pitt being devoted to his kids but this is different. Johnny keeps them out of the public eye and doesn't look for special treatmrnt for them.
I read that the Mirror or the sun said that a statement from the hospital said he didn't look for any special favours. He's just another concerned parent.
He moved to France and bought an island to try and give his family a shot at a normal life.
They don't need this spewed all over the media but I have a feeling that reporters etc. will leave them be. He is respected and everyone knows he just wants to keep himself to himself.

Deep George. The press do not think about peoples feelings, ever. Never mind in times of distress. Some good may come from it, often in cases like this it inspires people to donate, it highlights good causes, think we need to focus on the good points, we'll never change the hunger of the paparazzi!

Depp's daughter 'seriously ill'-- this is the headline, yes it's out of respect. I think the press should mind their own business!

Even coughing by a celebrity becomes a head line news, but, the death of poor, either by accident, or by suicide, finds just a mention.
I hate those media people, who make a mountain out of molehill, in case of the celebrities.

I don't know why the press do it - Victoria Beckham lost the plot recently because the paparazzi were taking pics of her son (the one with epilepsy) it seems a childs health is less important than getting yet another picture of posh

They do it, so they can sell papers. When people hears of a celebrity, there off buying papers and magazines. I bet they have photographers and journalists, loiterring outside the hospital. I really feel for Johnny and his family.

No i don't think it is...his daughter isn't famous just his daughter and i wouldn't like the thought of everyone being involved and being hounded when all i want to do is care for my sick child.
Its wrong as much as his fans may wanna send their love or whatever that's just too much involvement his entitled to privacy!!
