As you already know, the morning after pill may or may not work. Dont stress because if it did work, you may delay your period if it is set to come on.

Wait and see if your period will start. if it does not start on the day that it is supposed to or the day after. that is when you should take the pregnancy test. This will give you more of an accurate reading.

If you have any questions feel free to email me (i am clickable)

Basically the pill is a lot of hormone and could indicate a false postive on the test(if taken too early). The pill may delay you period from coming for another month, which means also your body will experience symptoms of pregnancy like firm stomach, nausea, mood swings and sensitive nipples.(if it's working) You're currently under a lot of stress which could also delay your period. Remember it is possible to have one period and still be pregnant and remember to gauge your period when it comes if it's the right color, and flow as normal. Darker and chunks could be your aborted fetus. A heavier flow(Soaking 2 pads in an hour or two) could indicate a fetus tearing your tubes since the pill killed it in the wrong position. In this case go to a hospital a.s.a.p. To lesson your stress take your test a few days before you're due since there's comfort in knowing in you know if you are pregant; and keep in mind that you can always do something about it. I know it's REALLY hard right now, but TRY to relax. Make sure you count the due date of your period using the start day of the day you took the pill, NOT your normal 21-25 day cycle. Once you've completely missed your period take the actual test. Remember you can still have abortions without sugery up to 8 weeks pregnant. During the 9-12 weeks the fetus grows and if aborted can cause more damage to your body. Hope it all works out for you!

I would wait till after your period is due. If you take the test now then you will still stress out because It might be too soon to tell for sure. Wait and see if its late. That way you won't feel like you need another test to be sure. Either way, take it after or around the time of your period..especially if it doesnt come. I know 9 days can seem forever in this situation, but hopefully it will show up and you can have some peace. Good luck!

Hi sweet, I'm in the opposite boat to you and trying to get preg, so Ive been reading up on loads of stuff, and investigating more into things.

Basically, your right about st johns wort, however Im not sure about the depressive pill your on!

I do know that, it does take up to 14 days for implantation to occur, (when the egg attaches itself to the uterus wall). Then they say wait 5 days to take a pregnancy test. (This is for more concluded results).

I would wait 14 days from when you took the morning after pill. Then another 5, then do the test.

You can get 'first response' preg tests that can give you a result 5 days before, but they are only 50% accurate when you do it 5 days before and there maybe not enough of the preg hormone for it to be detected.

I know that its hard not to stress, but when you do find out your result, try and see the doctor anyway for contraceptive advice if you are already not taking any.

Good luck, and dot stress, as it could prolong your period.x

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

Your right - stressing out wont help the matter. You know you are at risk of being pregnant and now all you can do is wait.

You can buy pregnancy test which can tell you from the first day of your missed period, but i wouldnt test too soon incase you test too early after all if you are pregnant a few days isnt gonna make much difference.

If your eagar to know test as soon as the first day of your missed period, but if you get a negative and your period still doesnt come be prepared to test again a little later as your period may not be as exact as you think.
Good Luck

Some tests are accurate a few days before you're due but best to wait until first day of missed period, as you are most likely to get an accurate result then

I would wait to see if your period is late first, as your not due on for another 9 days if you are pregnant it would probably be too early to detect. I know its a long stressful wait - - i first thought i was pregnant before my period was due, and didnt get a positive result until i was 10 days late on my period!!
Good Luck
