As of late it seems like I can either settle or get rude before the waitress gets my order right, or the cab driver drops me off where I ask. (not literally, just examples- no offence to waitresses or cab drivers out there) It makes me feel lousy. Should it?

most of the times, yes.

but sometimes when they meet my temper, like i'm stressed up with work or out of patience because i'm so hungry -- they get to my nerves and i will tell them upfront.
