Can you give more details? I'm thinking that there's something wrong about the title. The only "midnight cat" book I can think of is John Brown, Rose and the Midnight Cat" which is about an older woman (Rose) and her dog, John Brown, who doesn't like this cat who has come around. There was a little movie made of it, but it wasn't a series. In series all I can think of is Top Cat, which came out much earlier (60s) but was set in an alley. Was it a cartoon or live action? Could it have been Jenny and the Cat Club, which was a series of books and, I vaguely remember, was part of a children't PBS tv show. Jenny is a little black cat with a scarf.
I've tried several title searches using variations of the title you gave and haven't found anything, though the Midnight Louie books keep showing up (Louie is a cat in some adult mystery books, no series.)
Anyway, if you can give me more to work with, I'll give it a try.

properly yeah, varied human beings do this... think of of all the persons named after cleansing soap opera characters!! i think of that it is common and additionally you do no longer understand how lots of human beings do it or what proportion "commonplace" names are relatively names off of television characters or from standard books! It purely relies upon on the call. i'm assuming you're no longer speaking approximately names like "spongebob" like somebody else spoke of!
