Yes it will cause a problem if you have not got a visa from the embassy. ANY criminal record must be reported and you have to get a visa from the Embassy in London. You need to ring them and arrange an appointment to get a visa. They will go through all the details and then decide from there as to whether they will grant you a visa. If you have already booked your holiday you will not be entitled to claim any money back if your visa is refused.
If you try and enter the States without a visa then you will be sent back without leaving the airport!
Your travel agent should of advised you of this before booking as this is now very important for the States.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNGPz
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it will be. You should really contact the nearest US consulate to find out for sure. If you're not leaving till October than you have plenty of time to sort it out. You'll have to speak with the immigration section, I believe they provide you with some additional document when traveling.

If DD is drunk driving, or whatever, contact American Embassy and Consulate of UK to make certain.
The wise person asks, the ignorant assume.
