What you say is a natural human tendency.

Its is human tendency to never accept their wrongs. For eg. If ur friend accuses u of some mistake, will you accept immediately, may be after few days but not immediately. you may even try to find some excuses for your fault.

If you feel that what ur friend does is wrong just don't point it out to him immediately. Tell him after some time, may be after few days. Even then don't tell to him straight away. It might hurt him...just bring it smoothly. For eg. You can tell him...."Look Amar, I liked the way you spoke yesterday" or "the way you dress" or you can appreciate him for his positives and then tell his weakness like "but what you did yesterday was not good", "I don't tell that its your fault but you should have kept your temper that time" and you can even add "I am telling this to you as a friend because I care for you"...

I hope none will deny his mistake and rectify it even after this(afterall its only a mistake)

If you talk to them with love and patience, and they do not respond, then you are the one that needs to change, because it looks like they don't want to or can't.
