While "genius" is not a term that is used in IQ testing, I think to be considered a genius, you need an IQ of 145 or more.

Given the standard test a genius has an IQ over 145, I think.

On the stanford-binet IQ test 130 with a 15 point standard deviation. Which is huge. IQ is also very controversial, personally I think it is an indicator of some aspects of intelligence. But, myself having taken several tests spanning from 115 to 165, I am pretty skeptical.

Only being a genius doesnt mean a thing holistically. we all need a balance.
just like the wealthy, if money is all they have, then outside when they walk the same street as me, they are no better. its perspective.
like your boss. s/he only has power between 9-5. that is not true wealth.
its nice being smart, but can you adapt at other levels of experience?
though being at the top of any given food chain gives a delusion of grandeur, and this may be attractive.
just like the emperors new clothes.
but you can only have that capital in the environment that values it. like a cell phone, a grace of modern technology, all powerful with all the options... as soon as you have no reception it is only an alarm clock, and when the battery dies, it is only a paper weight.
be holistically wealthy, in as many aspects of your life as you can be. and then life will be good.

As per statistical standard, one should have more than 99% score so that it is significant at 1% level to be called genius.
