What bands to come out of the 90's & 2000's do you think will be in for the long hall?

Popular music is not in good shape. Everything is so corporate now. Simon Cowell is a central figure in "the business", but that is how he sees it. He is no talented musician or songwriter, simply getting a foothold in "the industry" through his father. Until the power moves away from his kind and reverts to the musicians, songwriters and innovators, music will be disposable. The current crop of Pop Idol karaoke stars and bands regurgitating the same old clichés will be forgotten.

0, Nada, Zilch, None. Green Day and Collective Soul are great, but I think their time has gone, unfortunately, even though both of these bands have quality music. It's due to corporations deciding what is "flavorful", and, regrettably, the current trend for a bands success is chaotic and short-lived. Bands just don't survive like they used to, and it's frustrating.
