Not sure about the out of the pocket spending money.
The two of us spend abut one thousand US dollars per month for everything. I do mean everything. We live well and have what we want. We also put another thousand US sollars in the bank for later every month.
House is paid for and there are no outstanding bills to be paid. That monthly amount increases when we take time to do some traveling but that is what the savings is for.

Its hubbies money I spend but
