The best way to dry it out is:
1. Get a lunch box, large enough to fit your Phone in and close the lid.
2. Fill the bottom with alot of salt and when i say alot i mean loads.
3. Fold up a towel or a paper towel and place and cover the salt.
4. Then place the Phone on top and close the lid and leave for a few days.
The salt draws the moisture from the Phone and the towel absorbs it. This does work i have done it with loads of phones and mp3 players.
Also circuit boards are washed when made, with components on. This is to clean the excess flux and grease from the board. So 95% of components on the PCB should still be ok!

Hi. Take the back off and the battery and sim out, then get your hair dryer and dry the inside with it but do not let it get to hot. Then leave it somewhere warm for a day or two and is should be ok. Do not put the battery back in for 2 days.
Hope this works as it did when my phone fell in the sink.

once a mobile phone has gotten wet, chances are sometimes it works, but only usually for so long. Once water gets on to little curcuit boards in your phone, it starts corroding them. Even if the mobile is dried out, it still happens (the curcuits develop a white chalky resedue over them), might not cut off immediately, but it will die! It's not even worth getting them repaired normally, as repair companies will usually just give you it back once they know its water damaged. Usually beyond economical repair!
Time to upgrade!

I have dropped one phone in water, and it dried right away and began working. I have dropped one in iced tea, and it never worked again. I would wait 2-3 days, leave it in a well ventilated area, and then if it doesn't work, try to find a repair shop that will give you an estimate before repairing.

Wet phones are the one type of cell phone damage can not be fixed. If your lucky, maybe more time drying might be able to help you.

you can take it to an independant repair centre and see if they can fix it (it cost me £25 a while ago to get 1 fixed). sometime you are lucky but most of the time you can't get them fixed.
if you got insurance on it when you bought it then you could pay the excess to get it fixed but they wont fix it if you never.
