May be,but for some gimmicks he is allowing the officials a free hand.
But collapse of an overbridge on a running train and the blast in train to Pakistan are blots in his successful stint.

He was groomed as a politician by Jai Prakash Narayan. He has his own style. As a Railway Minister he has been very successful. He has made a lot of improvement including reduction in fare. Railway now is a profitable institution. There is no doubt Railway will progress further under his control. In reply to a question how he accomplished this. In reply he referred to his mother advice not to catch a buffalo by tail but by horns. He acted on her advice.
As regard bombing of Samjotha Express by terrorist, he is not to be blamed.

Future may not be the best but still better. He has taken few good steps like reserve quota 4 senior citizens,privatisation of containers,cushion seats 4 unreserved classes,reduction of fares etc. But security issues remained untouched.
