Gamaxene is a ring compound used as pesticide. It's other mame is Benzene Hexa Chloride (BHC). It is a yellowish white powder. It can be prepared by the Addition reaction. When Chlorine is allowed to react with Benzene in presence of sunlight it forms gamaxene/BHC.

C6H6 + 3Cl2 --------------> C6H6Cl6
benzene + chlorine -----sunlight---------> Benzene hexa chloride
