We are trying to conceive so I stopped using birthcontol (OrthoEvra, the "patch") about 5 months ago---for about the past 2 months my skin seems so much more oily. I have random breakouts not just on my face but also on my chest and upper back. IS THIS NORMAL? I've never had any acne problems like this before.

It makes total sense. It's all hormone related -- both the BC and the acne flareups.

I have seen this happen with friends of mine. Some types of hormonal birth control are actually prescribed to help clear up acne. My step-daughter had severe acne and since she started taking Yasmin her's has cleared up.
