We are TTC so I stopped my birthcontol (OrthoEvra, the "patch") about 5 months ago---for about the past 2 months my skin seems so much more oily. I have random breakouts not just on my face but also on my chest and upper back. IS THIS NORMAL? I've never had any acne problems like this before.

This is normal with and without birth control, but it will soon clear up, all birth control causes acne. You can clear up your acne by applying either Apple Cider Vinegar or white vinegar to your acne this will help clear it up in no time and drink plenty of water aday also try to relax more and don't drink or eat anything containing caffeine this exacerbates acne. Good Luck !

I think it is normal. Birth control actually helps clear acne, so I wouldn't be surprised that your acne came back.

Research shows that birth control can clear acne by slowing down overactive oil glands in the skin. Sometimes, birth control pills are used along with a drug called spironolactone to treat acne in adult females.

I wouldn't worry at all. It was your birth control that help stop your acne, and now that you're not on it anymore your oil glands are active again, causing break outs. I suggest you use some type of cleanser for your face if it really bugs you.
