My partner and I wanted a child so we selected a donor site. Unknown donor artificial insemination.
That way the donor has no responsibilities to the child and neither can the "moms" contact him for anything.
The insemination was done safely in a doctor's office by a doctor who does this on a regular basis.
Yes! It's expensive, but well worth it, not only for the child's sake but the mom to be also.
That dream-of a child- is now nine and in the gifted and talented classes at school, he is loved greatly and loving in return. He is also gentle, kind, and great looking and has many girl friends.
Would your child turn out this way? No idea, but doing it the way we did will be a benefit not to mention safer.

I've nothing against it personally, as long as the guy is in agreement then I don't see why it should be a problem.

Some people may be dead against this though, but I feel as long as you can offer a child all the love and protection it needs. what's the problem?

There are many teenage girls who get pregnant and end up single mothers by mistake, this happens because of irresponsibility. You on the other hand want a child and know what you are doing. Go for it i say.

I think it is fine, but if I did it I'd use a turkey baster to inseminate myself! LOL. As long as the man knows & agrees (or is an anonomous donor) & providing the child will be cared for & loved what is wrong with it? I don't think being a lesbian should stop a woman from having babies.

As long as it's obtained with consent & consideration is given to (and agreement is reached on) the man's responsibility towards any offspring; then I think it's perfectly acceptable.

Like someone else said - you need us for these little blighters, if for nothing else.

It depends. If you are up front with him and tell him what's going on as well as giving him the right to back out and say no, fine. If you are doing it and just not telling him, it's wrong.

As long as he gives his consent, that seems ethical, and as long as the child will have a nurturing, loving home in a safe environment. The child's welfare must be the first consideration.

what does it matter. its all about the kids as long as they are coming into a loving, safe environment that is what counts. i also think it is very important to find a guy that will go along with all that is required of him as it is a part of him too. good luck to all

Nothing wrong with it, so long as you have the blokes full agreement.
