Its tru wot u r saying.... its hard to find true friends, unfortunatley this day and age tends to be a selfish society. I realise most people do not have many friends and it only gets harder as you get older. Just be friendly to everyone and try not to judge people for their shortcomings. Best advise I can offer is a famous saying...."if you want to get along, go along" do be social and even if you have to go it alone, do so, be happy and smile alot - if you are genuine most people will like you and you will find new friendships. Like yourself or no one will like you - its amazing how this is so obvious. Hope I make sense because I feel for you.... I dont have many friends and I have noticed they tend to let me down alot, but I try not to worry about it because I know that if I lose their friendship I will have none. Treasure what friends you have and be happy.
